During the week I recognised my own thinking is getting a bit muddy, I was getting into that place of fear and thought it came out of nowhere. I’m not quite sure where it came from, I think I’ve had enough of lockdown to be honest.

With so much going on in the world, Black Lives Matter, racism and politics. I realise that all of these things and almost everything is about the story. It is all about the stories that we tell ourselves.

As I thought on this, I was further reminded of a conversation I had with a podcast guest a couple of weeks ago, John Purkis whose book is called letting go. You will hear more when the podcast goes live in about two weeks.

The point is, John discovered Mindfulness by accident 20 years ago, before it was a ‘thing’. It all comes down to a conflict with story.

We have a story of how life should be, we have a story that is either based on something that we were told from the past, or something that we believe in the future. Only when we are present in the now can we be free.

These are my thoughts, I would love to hear yours.
