My guest on the programme is Miha Matlievski – The Fail Coach. It is funny when you consider our life journey. We do not start out needing help to get over failure. As children do not need help to try or experiment.
Once kids get beyond the baby stage, they start to explore; we begin to see their unstoppable determination to engage in the world around them.
From floundering unconscious movement to gaining control of their limbs, babies learn to crawl and eventually walk and run. There may be cries of frustration, but there is no fear of failure.
Adulthood Brings Change and Fear of Failure
Fast forward to adulthood, and for many, it is a different picture.
Somewhere along the way, we learn to say “I can’t” or “I tried that and failed”. I am not doing that it might fail and it will hurt, people will laugh… Fill the blank
So where does that determination go? How do we get caught so severely in fear of failure? So much so that we would rather endure discomfort than step out and take a risk. More importantly, what does it take to find the get-up-and-go to overcome that fear?
It was said somewhere that Thomas Edison was afraid of the dark so he invented the light bulb. It was challenging, and there were many setbacks
I have not failed. I’ve just found 2,000 ways that won’t work.
We all experience fear of Failure
Fear of failure is a huge issue in the worlds of business and personal development. That is why I was delighted to meet and interview my guest.
Miha Matlievski – the Fail Coach
He went from running four successful businesses and having a personal net worth of $15M, to being $5M in debt, literally overnight and eventually reaching the point where he was ready to take his own life. How is 2020 Shaping Up
We are at the end of January in 2020, How are your 2020 plans shaping up are you getting done what you want to get done?
It is a thing in life is that we set these plans and goals during the festive season break it’s a wonderful time for evaluating the year and making plans and decisions up in a carryout in the new year and the end of the 15th of January.
It is very easy to make plan think of ideas during the downtime of that festive season or during the euphoria of a new year celebration it’s our road then the things don’t look so easy
There is a process that I call turbo coaching, a technique I learnt in my coaching training some 12 + years ago. I’ve been using it was clients ever since as an adjunct to the marketing services I provide.
It’s a 20-minute process and it gets you to focus. You come with what you want to achieve and in the 20-minutes explore why you want it. What’s stopping you from getting there. What Solutions you could apply and we’re putting some accountability to make sure you do it
The one thing that’s missing in most people’s lives is accountability.
It is really hard to get stuff done unless something or someone holds you accountable. The sad fact in life is that unless we take charge of our lives and become the pilot. We will always be the passenger and while that can be fine for some you do have to be satisfied with the outcome.
